Coco Wellington has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and has been working in the field of human services and education for over 30 years. 

 

She has held a faculty appointment at the Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry and is an adjunct faculty member at Curry College, Department of Psychology. She is a Certified Addiction Specialist.  She has been appointed Sports  Psychology Consultant for the Boston University Women’s Lacrosse Program. She is also affiliated with ProFormance, Inc.

 

She has been trained by Frederick Neff, Psy.D., Sports Psychologist for the Boston Bruins and Len Zaichkowsky, Ph.D., Sports Psychologist for the Boston Celtics and the Boston University Men’s Hockey program.  She received further training from Daniel Brown Ph.D, Harvard Medical School and Andrea Lindsay LICSW. She has been deeply involved in athletics as a successful competitor, coach and parent on the National and International levels. She is currently a golfer, sailor, tennis player, curler and Rescue SCUBA Diver. 

 

Coco Wellington is married and has three adult children, the youngest of whom played for the University of Maryland Women’s Lacrosse Team and Co-Captained the team to its seventh straight (and her fourth) NCAA Division 1 National Championship in May, 2001. Maryland relies heavily on Sports Psychology for its success.
